Planned Giving Opportunities

The Lincoln Parks Foundation would be honored to accept your planned gift.  We will work with you to help you create a legacy gift that fulfills your wishes.

Designation Information & Charitable Status

The following information is provided for your convenience and should be shared with your attorney and or your estate planning professional.  The proper name to use for a beneficiary designation in a will, trust, life insurance or annuity contract, retirement plan, investment, or bank account is Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation, a tax-exempt organization (Tax ID 36-3853746).  The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation is a recognized 501(c)3 organization under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.  You are encouraged to seek professional tax advice for personal income tax questions and assistance.

 

Sample Language for Wills and Trusts

To direct a gift to the Lincoln Parks Foundation, you may consider utilizing the following language:

"I hereby give and bequeath to the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation of Lincoln, Nebraska a specific gift of $0.0(insert specific dollar amount) or 0.0%(insert specific percentage or direct entirety of residuary estate by inserting 100%) of my estate(or residuary estate) to support the mission of the organization for the following specific purpose(insert specific purpose such as support for a specific garden, park, or human service program).

Recognition

We appreciate all gifts to the Lincoln Parks Foundation.  Recognizing your gift is one way we can thank you for your generous gift.  Different types and levels of recognition exist within the context of specific programming initiatives.  Additionally, special designations can be made for extraordinary gifts and we are eager to work with you to appropriately recognize your generous gift in accordance with your wishes.
