From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your donation to Lincoln Parks Foundation for Randy’s Memorial Shelter. Without access to everyone’s address, we wanted to be sure every donor is thanked. To us, it’s a big deal. Your donation, no matter the amount, has contributed to the healing of our grieving hearts and in keeping Randy’s memory alive.
We deeply appreciate you and are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.
With love and gratitude,
Christy, Sofia & Russ Gibson
On behalf of the Lincoln Parks Foundation, thank you for your gift to the Randy Gibson Memorial Fund. Randy was a well-loved member of Lincoln's biking community and we are proud to work with his family to coordinate this special project in his memory.
Funds donated in Randy’s memory will go towards a seating and trailhead area in the new South Haymarket Park & Plaza. This new downtown neighborhood park, southwest of 7th and “N” streets, will include playground and festival space, a dog park, play courts and other amenities. The park will also include a trail connection between “N” and “J” streets, providing a vital link between downtown (Haymarket Trail) and the trail system to the south (Jamaica North Trail). A new public plaza on the south end of Canopy Street will provide gathering spaces and include a proposed signature public artwork.
The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking community input on the preliminary design for the new park and plaza area. Incorporated into this process will be the design and location for this memorial for Randy.
