Pioneers Park Nature Center

Established in 1963 the Pioneers Park Nature Center is set on 668 acres of tall grass prairie, woodlands, wetlands and a stream. The Nature Center serves the Lincoln area as an environmental education center and wildlife sanctuary. Programming includes a pre-school, nature camps, school tours, scout badge work, special events, and classes for all ages. 

Make a Donation:
  • Honor a special teacher, friend, or family member, or celebrate graduations by purchasing an inscribed brick to be placed along the sidewalk leading to Heritage School. All donors receive an inscribed paver measuring 5.5" x 8" and a commemorative certificate suitable for framing which can be presented to the honoree or honoree's family. Names of honorees will be listed in the Nature Center Newsletter and on our website.

  • Here is a way to support Pioneers Park Nature Center in honor of a friend or loved one or to celebrate events such as birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. All donors receive an inscribed stone measuring 10" x 13" that will be placed on the path to the Elk Bridge, one of the most traveled paths. They will also receive a commemorative certificate suitable for framing which can be presented to the honoree or honoree's family. Names of honorees will be listed in the Nature Center Newsletter an on our website.
